ABOUT US
Uberkate is a family owned and run jewellery design studio specialising in designs that capture the spirit of relationships in precious metals.
Kate Sutton is the woman behind the uberbusiness. During a successful career as a television producer Kate designed her signature piece "The Ubercircle" to keep her family close to her heart while she was travelling. Her personalised made-to order designs were born out of her own desire to wear jewellery "that meant something"..
The striking Ubercircles did not go unnoticed and soon Kate was balancing her tv career with jewellery making...
In 2004 she launched her company uberKate when demand for her signature piece, the uberCircle, swelled into a niche market. uberKate developed organically from Sutton's sustained passion for jewellery design, a constant in her life since she began fashioning bracelets and necklaces as a child.
Sutton's company has expanded to incorporate a range for both women and men, select retail partnerships in Australia, corporate commissions and an exponential base of uberKate devotees. Uberkate is now expanding into the retail jewellery market so clients further afield can become enamoured with the unique and personal nature of her designs..
Friends and colleagues within the media recognised her talent, and provided catalytic exposure as television personalities began to wear her designs. Monique Wright, Georgie Gardner, Sarah Murdoch, Jessica Rich, Joanna Townsend, Rebecca Harris, Leila McKinnon, Natalie Barr and Melissa Doyle are all owners of original uberKate pieces.
Kate's philosophy is founded in connecting people. In this mobile, globalised age, the individual is increasingly spending large periods of time away from loved ones. Uberkate jewellery keeps these important people close, wherever they may be. The circle symbolises the endless flow of love between those people whose names are stamped in the precious metals. All of uberkate's pieces are handcrafted so no two pieces are the same. They are tailored to suit the individual requirements of each client.
Kate is 35 and lives in Sydney with her husband Adam, 6 year-old daughter Lulu and 2 year old son Cameron.
