RETURNS & REFUNDS
JEWELLERY WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS
Due to the nature of Uberkate merchandise being "one off" pieces, we deal with customer’s returns questions individually. We will at our option, replace or repair jewellery where our jeweller has determined they are defective due to the manufacturing process within 12 months after the date of purchase. You can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, are different to the product purchased, or don’t do what they are supposed to do. All returns can be sent to Uberkate at PO Box 487, Forestville, NSW 2087 Australia.
COCKTAIL RING RETURNS/ EXCHANGE
Our Everyday Gemstone rings, pendants and earrings have been hand set by master craftspeople. In the event that a stone falls out within 4 weeks of purchase, we will reset the stone at our expense. If a stone falls out after this time, there will be a re-setting labour fee of AU$45 plus return postage to cover the cost of our setters work. Please wear all our pieces gently and with love, wearing a cocktail ring to the gym to lift weights is not a good idea! (Believe me, people have tried) If you lose a stone, please email our studio to find out the price of a new stone and resetting & postage fees. Items purchased on sale are non refundable and non exchangeable.
The warranty against defects does not cover breakage, damage, kinks, changes in appearance, or the gradual degradation of all or part of the goods due to normal wear. Nor does it cover improper use, mishap, careless handling or the use of other jewellery such as charms or pendants not manufactured by Uberkate or use outside Uberkate's care instructions. Please note, Tarnishing naturally occurs with precious metals and therefore, cleaning is not covered by the warranty.

If the return is deemed to be due to an error on behalf of the purchaser, the item is to be returned at the purchaser’s expense. We recommend using Australia post and registering the item being returned. If the return is deemed to be due to an error on behalf of the purchaser, Uberkate will offer to repair or replace the item for a fee to be determined depending on the scope of work. (see below for more information) Uberkate will not undertake any repair or replacement without approval from the purchaser.
If the return is deemed to be due to an error on behalf of Uberkate, Uberkate will pay for postage costs incurred in returning the item as well as the cost of repairing or replacing and sending the item out to the purchaser.
Uberkate will post repaired items within 21 days of receiving the goods to be repaired/replaced.
If you are adding a name to an existing set, there is no charge. Please return to Uberkate at PO Box 487, Forestville, NSW 2087. Please include a return addressed package so we can send back to you. If no return packaging is included Uberkate will charge a $16 postage fee. (AUD)
If you would like your jewellery to be made “Russian” – for example, connecting ubercircles that are not connected. This incurs a workshop fee of $70. AUD
A workshop fee of $45 AUD including postage is charged for re-polishing, name removal or “solder” work. For example, soldering an uberclip closed.
If, during a return it is acceptable to offer a refund, Uberkate will refund within 2 days of the refund approval. Uberkate will refund into the appropriate payment facility as described by the purchaser. Uberkate can direct deposit, use paypal, refund a credit card via eway or write a cheque.
Uberkate does not charge a re-stocking fee.
